Selecting the model that best meets your needs can be made easier by being aware of these markings. Deciphering the model number can help you make a better choice, regardless of whether you’re searching for a particular load capacity, spin speed, or special features.

How to recognize the marking designation?

Information about the automatic washing machine is contained in a set of specific letters and numbers. Let’s attempt to comprehend the decoding using the WF602 example as a guide.

  1. In this marking, the English letter W denotes the type of household appliances, namely, an automatic washing machine.
  2. F – in the code is written to indicate the type of loading. In this one – front loading.
  3. The third position of the code is a number indicating the maximum volume of the washing machine tank. In our version – 60. This corresponds to a load of 6 kg of laundry. If this item says 49, then we understand that we are talking about 4.9 kg. Thus, if there were 40, then 4 kg. But this is only deciphered up to 9 kg, after 14 it will indicate the maximum weight of loaded laundry of 14 kg.
  4. The last position is -2. Here the manufacturer indicates the year when this model was released in production. Please note that this is not the year of release of one specific washing machine. We are talking about the series as a whole and the date of its appearance on the consumer market. So, by the number 2 we understand that this model of the washing machine was first released in 2012. And a certain washing machine could have been made in 2016, or any other year, but not earlier than the one indicated in the code.

Let’s now focus on the consecutive groups of letters and numbers and analyze what they indicate about the apparatus. Pay attention to the inscriptions "Letter 1," "Number 1," etc. in the figure.

The set W / B / U is visible when we decode the marking in the "Letter 1" section. What information does it provide about a particular device?

  • W – tells us that this washing machine has a collector motor with a drive belt and an additional function to improve the quality of washing Eco Bubble. With this option, there is an abundant formation of tiny bubbles, due to which detergents have a more active effect on dirt.
  • The letter B denotes machines with an inverter direct-drive motor. That is, the belt that attaches the motor to the drum is missing. This fact allows you to make the washing process almost silent. And there is no additional bubble option here.
  • U means that this equipment combines the power and reliability of a direct-drive motor with the Eco Bubble function.

The numbers 0 or 2 can be used to indicate the following position. In this instance, the first is assigned to spin at 1000 rpm, and the second at 1200 rpm. It should be noted that a 7 in the item’s marking indicates a spin power of 700 rpm rather than 7,000 rpm.

"Letter 3" denotes the machine panel type. Accordingly, if you see C, the device has a display and ten programs to choose from when it comes to the washing mode. Option K denotes the availability of extra options and provides a selection of 14 fundamental programs. Other features include the capacity to schedule the drum’s self-cleaning and mobile device control.

The final item depicts how the washing machine body looks. For instance, SD is gray and WA is a white body. Additionally, a laundry loading hatch with a chrome finish is present in both options.

There are occasionally models with markings that deviate from the norm.

You will need to read the text on the control panel in this situation. We’ll make an effort to help you understand what you can learn from this data.

The panel is visible in the picture. A red line indicates the Eco Bubble inscription in the lower right corner. As one might expect, there is an additional option on the device to enhance the washing quality. Furthermore, we can infer that there is a collector motor with a drive belt based on the data above.

The words "Digital Inverter Motor" are underlined in red in the second image. According to the marking, it matches B. This indicates that although the motor has a drive belt, the bubble function is absent. As you can see, the panel bears no inscription regarding it. The characteristics of the drum structure are indicated by the inscription "Diamond" in the lower left corner. The name came from the way the honeycombs are shaped; they help preserve things’ integrity and allow for gentle washing.

We can tell that the machine has a drive motor and an extra Eco Bubble option from the third image. This washing machine type is combined, and it matches the letter U in the marking. It has already been explained above. Let’s examine the portion of the panel that houses the programs in more detail.

Thus, you can see the ten primary washing programs on the left. The LED display comes next. Additionally, utilize the push-up and additional options buttons for adjusting the temperature regime.

The second panel makes it obvious that there are a lot more primary programs than there initially appear. This is the K model, which has a graphic display installed. There is a memory function and a longer list of extra options. It enables the washing machine to retain the configurations from your preferred software. Not only are the marking designations taken into consideration, but there are more. They are visible on the sticker, which is typically found either in front of or behind the washing machine’s body. Let’s use a concise example to examine these cases.
