Dismantling the external elements of the case

You must fully disassemble the washing machine in order to replace the tank’s crosspiece. The case’s exterior components, including the front and upper panels, the powder canister, and the "dashboard," are first taken apart. It is sufficient to have a slotted and a Phillips screwdriver on hand for these tasks.

Make sure the Samsung washing machine is off before starting to disassemble the case.

Replacing the crosspiece is a labor-intensive and intricate task. You can, however, fix the washing machine yourself if you adhere to the instructions. The initial stage’s action plan will look like this:

  • disconnect the machine from the network;

  • disconnect the drain and inlet hoses from the machine;
  • pull out the washing machine to the center of the room so that it is convenient to work with it;
  • open the hatch door, use a slotted screwdriver to remove the clamp securing the drum cuff;
  • tuck the sealing rubber inside the drum;
  • remove the powder receptacle from the machine;
  • remove the lower false panel of the washing machine, having dealt with the fasteners;
  • unscrew the garbage filter (be careful, when removing the plug, water may flow out of the machine);
  • remove the bolts holding the cover of the washing machine housing;
  • remove the top panel;
  • unscrew the screws located around the perimeter of the control panel;
  • take a photo of the wiring diagram of the contacts of the instrument panel to the electronic module;
  • disconnect the wiring and put the control panel aside;
  • unscrew the bolts holding the front wall of the washing machine (they are located around the entire perimeter of the panel);
  • remove the front wall of the housing, having first disconnected the contacts from the hatch locking device;
  • remove the iron panel from the top of the washing machine (it is located where the instrument panel is attached);
  • unscrew the bolt holding the water level sensor, remove the pressure switch from the washing machine housing;
  • unscrew the screws securing the inlet valve, remove the chips from it;
  • remove the dispenser hopper together with the inlet valve and pipes.

To avoid mistakes during subsequent assembly, snap a picture of the wiring diagram as you disconnect the contacts from the washing machine’s internal components.

The external components of the Samsung washing machine casing are disassembled in this order. It is advisable to familiarize yourself with the equipment’s instructions before beginning any repairs if this is your first time fixing a washing machine. This will give you an idea of the locations of the various units and aid in your understanding of the washing machine’s structure.

Removing parts that interfere with removing the tank and drum

You must take the tank-drum unit out of the washing machine in order to replace the crosspiece. Once the automatic machine’s body has been disassembled, you can see the tank and every component that is attached to it. One by one, you must disassemble every component that will cause difficulty when the tank is removed.

The upper counterweights are the first thing that will draw your attention. The Samsung washing machine is stabilized by these concrete blocks. The weights must be disassembled by loosening the bolts holding them in place.

Below that is an additional counterweight. It must be taken out as well. Using a ratchet, remove the bolts holding the block in place before inserting the socket head of the necessary size. The remaining internal components that obstruct the tank’s removal must then be disassembled.

The following will be the subsequent action algorithm:

  • disconnect the heating element contacts from the tank (red and blue power wires, grounding and temperature sensor connector);
  • unhook all the twisted wires connected to the tank;
  • unfasten the pressure switch hose;
  • disconnect the electric motor connector and the block itself that goes to the motor;
  • unhook the drain pipe from the tank;
  • remove the bolts securing the lower shock absorbers.

A 13 head is required in order to operate the lower shock absorbers. Remove the fastening bolts from both sides. Four springs hold the tank in place; these must also be unhooked. Following this, you can start taking the "tank-drum" unit apart.

Place the tank, pulley facing up, on a firm, level surface after removing it. The drive belt must then be removed, and the engine must be disconnected. The shock absorbers are subsequently detached from the container.

At this point, there’s no need to remove the pulley. Samsung collapsible washing machine tanks. This makes the work much easier because it only takes one half of the plastic container to handle multiple brackets.
